Intensity - Dean Koontz (Fast Paced)

This is the first Dean Koontz book I have read. I must say I have read better thrillers before. This is the perfect book if you are in a mood for “adrenalin rush”. Like most other thrillers, this one too is a fast paced and hard-to-put-down book. But there’s nothing that really makes it different.

Intensity tells the story of Chyna Shepard, a young, introvert with a troubled past, who finds herself in the path of a serial rapist and murderer, Edgler Foreman Vess. When she learns the identity of Vess's next intended victim, a faraway innocent only she can save, she decides to follow Vess to his house. The story is a 24-hour ordeal presented in 400 odd pages. There are moments when you want to stop because something is so unbelievable, but you have to keep going because it's so much fun.

This is not a book that will win prizes or set the literary world on it's ear, but it is an exciting and engaging story that is a lot of fun right to it's predicable end.
